Republicans Vs. Democrats? Hardly.
I feel it is unfortunate that people feel the health care bill is one of Democrats Vs. Republicans. I couldn't see that as being farther from the truth. After all, there were Democrats who voted against this health bill, and Republicans who voted for some other versions.

First of all, it is possible I would benefit financially as a chiropractor from some of the implementation that may occur. But as an individual, I see this as a basic interpretation of what our constitution allows the federal component of our governing bodies to do or not to do.

What is a right and what is not a right. If it were really about what people need, then food and shelter would be far higher on the list than "health" (drugs & surgery) care.

But the constitution does not "entitle" us to the consumption of anything. Nor does it mandate that anyone must provide a product or service to any other individual. Nor does it mandate that all citizens must purchase any product or service. We are only entitled to "the pursuit" of what we desire.

The real question here is: What is the role of government?

So far it has been found that sunlight affects nearly 10% of your genes. The human body has about 30,000 genes and scientists have so far determined that vitamin D affects at least 2,000 of them.

All in a positive way.

21 Days

Years ago someone shared some research with me about nerve compression / irritation. The findings from this particular study found that if nerve tissue remained under constant irritation for greater than 21 days, there was some permanent cellular damage that remained even after removing the irritation.

When your spine is under stress, strain, tension or imbalance - so too is your nerve system. By getting chiropractic adjustments you free the restriction and tension of both your body's framework AND of your nerve system.

Lose weight in 5, … 2, … 1, … and 0!
And best of all, it’s free! You don’t have to buy any special weight loss products, you don’t have to follow someone’s special exercise routine, and it works for kids too.

In fact, this comes from the American Academy of Pediatrics, so I guess you could say it works for adults too. So how about it?

Do it yourself and set an example for any children you may have.
In Colorado we have the prestigious ranking of being the leanest in the United States, but overall, 1 in 3 American children are now considered obese. Not overweight, obese!

So here it is:

5: Eat 5 servings of vegetables and fruits daily. Eat more vegetables than fruits, and eat as much of this raw as possible.

2: Limit your “screen time” to 2 hours or less each day. This is television, video games, computer time, etc.

1: Get physically active for 1 hour every day. You really want to lose weight? You really have to sweat.And you really need at least one hour.

0: Drink 0 sweetened drinks. None sweetened with sugar. None sweetened with artificial sweeteners. None sweetened with high fructose corn syrup. None sweetened with fructose. None sweetened with agave. Starting to get it? Zero, zip, nada.

If you master this could you refine it further? Of course, but you cannot become a master until you become a student, so start with getting the basics under control and advance from there.

The Secret to Health and Happiness
Over and over again we find that the greatest truths are often the simplest ones. Are you plagued by a health issue or condition that you can’t seem to resolve? The answer is likely far more simple than you expect. But beware, you may not like the answer(s).

Humans easily fall into habits and patterns; likes and dislikes, what tastes “good” and what doesn’t, what you do with your time or don’t, what you like to feel, or don’t, etc.

The reason these simple answers are often difficult is for two primary reasons. First, each person must take “ownership” for their situation, and second, they must be willing to make personal changes in their habits and patterns, doing what may initially be “uncomfortable” or “unpleasant”.

So are you ready? Do you want to know the secrets to health? Do you think that when you’re truly healthy you have a much greater propensity to be happy?

Here goes.
1.     Exercise.
2.     Eat real food.
3.     Get Chiropractic adjustments.

Do you think it’s too good to be true? How do you know? Have you ever tried it?

Some of you may excel in one area, but have you really put all 3 in place and put them to the test?
Let’s very briefly, but succinctly, elaborate on these.

For those who have one of the areas truly under control, it’s “description” will likely be redundant, but I often find that many lack a proper understanding of the most basic principles.

Exercise: Yes, we’ve all heard that even just getting out and taking a 20 minute walk is good for us. True. But exercise that will change your life really means that you have to have a good sweat for 20-60 minutes daily. Yes, you have to learn to love to sweat, as well as some of the perceived “pain” that goes along with it to make it happen. Exercise your lungs, exercise your muscles, and stretch your body. Movement is life. So if you are truly doing this properly, walking the dog doesn’t cut it. Got it?

Eat real food: Most people have been truly scammed on this one, from elementary age upward, there are lots of lies. First of all, if it can’t go rotten, be very suspicious. How can it be real food? Next, if it has ingredients that you can’t pronounce, they’re probably toxic. Most of those things accumulate in your body tissues, increasing their toxic effects slowly over time. In addition they are usually bio-addictive, meaning, they are like drugs in their effects of training your system to want more. Solution? Eliminate boxes, packages, cans and pre-bagged or frozen items as much as possible. Shop the “horseshoe” (the perimeter of the store) and stay out of the aisles of death. Eat more food raw. Dark colored fruits and vegetables almost always have more powerful anti-oxidants and greater nutritional qualities. Same with “bitter” tasting foods and spices.

Get Chiropractic Adjustments
: Most people were never taught about this. It’s like the great mystery. Sure getting adjusted makes your back and neck feel better, but get this – that’s not what it’s for! Your nerve system controls all functions in your body and is responsible for creating and maintaining your body health. Your spine protects much of your nerve system but spinal stress and distortion will create tension and strain on your nerve system.
 
Your nerve system uses electrical signaling that can be measured, to communicate between your brain and body. Stress on this system creates electrical distortion, much like static on your mobile phone, and therefore interferes with the normal clear communication between brain and body.

So getting chiropractic adjustments is truly about maintaining good clear signaling between your operating system (brain) and the parts (cells, organs, systems) that it controls. Your healing power comes from within, not a pill.
 
(Why do some in the medical community dislike chiropractic? Because if we’re right - then they’re wrong. Simple as that. And there are billion$ at stake.)

Those are the three most powerful methods of creating and maintaining health in your body that will ever exist. Are there others? Yes, many. But you have to have a home before you can update it and redecorate it, so you simply can’t skip the basics. For most of us, a healthy body is a foundation for happiness that not even money can replace, therefore health and happiness go hand in hand.

If you don’t believe it than talk to anyone who has all the money they need but have lost their health and you will find every time they would exchange all their money for the return of a well functioning body.
